The problem that doctors usually have against alternative cancer cures, is the fact that the FDA has not approved any of them. They need proof, like published examples, before they can except an alternative cure, but the truth is there are many published articles out there that state how well they work. Then they say, if there is so much published material out there, then why wouldn't the FDA approve them. So, they conclude that it must not be beneficial or even harmful. This is good reasoning, but there are a couple of reasons why the FDA wouldn't approve a published theory, even though there is good evidence for it.

One reason is the fact that FDA approval can take years and millions of dollars for clinical studies. Nobody is willing to spend millions of dollars to test the ability of an alternative cure because they are often un-patenable, and therefore they are unprofitable. For example, if they concluded after years of research and millions of dollars spent on clinical trails that adding -blank- to your diet will cure cancer, how are they going to get any of there money back. It's a sad truth though, because it would help so many people get better, but nobody would get richer.

Also, with all of the conventional medical journals, it against policy to publish any type of homeopathic cures, so all the published material is never in the mainstream journals. Another reason is most of these alternative cures are not under the FDA's jurisdiction, they couldn't be regulated by the FDA. Many natural and therapeutic medications are not regulated by the FDA.

Here are three reasons why the FDA has not been looking into and promoting any alternative cancer cures. But you can look into them yourself, because anyone with medical knowledge knows that having the symptoms of an illness does not mean that is the illness. Just because you have a fever, aches, and a sore throat, does not always mean you just have an ordinary fever. Sometimes it can be more serious, like strep throat or something.
